Snow!

We arrived in Truckee (last Sunday) to a second winter. The ground was covered in snow and it snowed a good amount on Monday & Tuesday and on Wednesday we had thunder snow. By Thursday afternoon it had warmed up a bit (low 60's) and it melted quick. It looks like quite a different place than it did when we arrived a week ago. Here are a few pictures.

Truckee here we come!

We are heading to Truckee for Matthew's job. He will be doing bird surveys in the Truckee for the next 6 weeks. It should be fun and we should get to see some snow. :) We'll post some pictures from Truckee soon.

10 Months

Isaiah is 10 months old today (cousin Olivia turned 1 today). He is going, going, going all day long. He still loves being outside and every morning we have to go outside to "ride" the bike around the yard and go for a wheelbarrow ride. He stood by himself the other day, but doesn't show that much interest in walking. He will walk across the room behind his walking toy, but mostly just to show off (he has to make sure you are watching first). Here are a few pictures of him doing some of his favorite things.

Brushing his teeth. He will no longer allow me to help his brush his teeth. He mostly just chews on the toothbrush, but gets really sad when I take it away.

because it rocks back and forth.

TRUCKS! Isaiah loves trucks. He will drive his trucks around the house making "vroom" noises. He also says truck (or his version of it) every time a truck drives by.

His first real word besides 'mama' and 'dada'

Cleaning. Well really just vacuuming or sweeping. He loves them both and insists that you hold him if you are going to do either. He has figured out where we keep the broom and goes and gets it and tires to bring it to us. It is pretty cute.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. We were at my (Cassie's) mom's house for the day and had an egg hunt. Isaiah wasn't interested in more than chewing on the few eggs that he found, but it was fun. He had his 9 month appointment today and things look great. Eczema is still a bit of a problem, but it's getting better. His stats are 20 lbs 5 oz and 29 inches long.

Parties

Isaiah went to his first two birthday parties in the last couple weeks. His friend Saige Geels turned one a couple weeks ago and his cousins (Sophia 4 and Olivia 1) had a joint birthday party this weekend.

Couch Climbing

Isaiah figured out how to climb up the back of the couch to get a better view out the window. He loves to bang on the windows.

9 Months!

Our little guy is 9 months old today. He is a bundle of energy and enjoying exploring more of the house and outside. He still loves being outside, but would rather be on the ground (eating rocks) than being carried on a walk. Matthew says he is showing his dutch side as he loves to sweep and vacuum with us (he is obsessed with the vacuum). Isaiah is getting better at eating food, but only likes to feed himself (he doesn't want to eat off the spoon). He loves avocado, broccoli and tofu. Here are a few pictures of Isaiah.
