Michigan

We spent 10 days in Michigan (Dec. 2-Dec. 12) visiting family and friends. Isaiah did amazingly well on both plane flights and adjusted well to the time change. He loved seeing Yasue and Bumpa (Matthew's parents), his cousins, Aunts and Uncles and Great-Grandparents. He is certainly missing all the extra attention know that we are home.
Isaiah was obsessed with the goats at the Critter Barn.
We got snow on Friday and Isaiah had so much fun playing in it.

Matthew and I had a date night on Friday. We went to Meijer Gardens, out to dinner, and ice skating at an outdoor rink in Grand Rapids.

Storm

We had a big wind storm starting on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and lasting through Friday, Dec. 2. The worst of it was Wednesday night/Thursday morning. We didn't sleep much that night as we kept hearing branches pelt the roof and surrounding area. At about 3:30 am Matthew was up in the living room and heard this tree fall between the shed and house right on top of the car. On the way down it also broke the pipe for our propane tank (luckily it didn't hurt the valve so we could turn it off) and pulled down all the electrical wires (PG & E was parked by our house so they shut if off right away). We were heading out for Michigan on Friday morning, so it made for a busy day on Thursday trying to clean up and pack without power, gas or warm water.
The tree that fell on the propane tank.

The tree crushed the Volvo. So sad. We just got it 6 months ago.

Picture from the front of the house. We were glad the tree didn't fall on the house.
